Measures against the spread of CORONA VIRUS

Covid

In addition to what has already been recommended in recent days, we invite employers to also implement the following countermeasures:

  • Implementation of social distancing measures: when holding meetings or gatherings, prioritize remote connection methods; alternatively, take into account the size and characteristics of the premises in order to ensure that participants are able to maintain a distance of at least 1 meter between them; adopt home working where possible;
  • Use of external resources, such as consultants, preferably electronically;
  • Postpone all non-essential travel to China; for travel to other destinations, given the ever-evolving situation, always consult the institutional websites (ECDC, Ministry of Health, Viaggiare Sicuri – Farnesina Crisis Unit);
  • Make hydroalcoholic solutions available to workers for hand washing;
  • Display ministerial instructions on hand washing in bathrooms and near dispensers;
  • Increase the frequency of cleaning shared surfaces and objects: Coronaviruses can be eliminated after 1 minute if surfaces are disinfected with 62-71% ethanol or 0.5% hydrogen peroxide or 0.1% sodium hypochlorite.
  • Always ensure adequate air exchange in shared spaces.

For workers involved in contact with the public:

  • operator distance of at least 1 meter from the user subject;
  • repeated and thorough cleaning of surfaces with water and detergents followed by the application of disinfectants based on 62-71% ethanol or 0.5% hydrogen peroxide or 0.1% sodium hypochlorite;
  • availability of hand hygiene dispensers containing alcohol gels with an alcohol concentration of 60-85%;
  • adequate dissemination of information materials for hand hygiene, respiratory hygiene and social distancing.

For workers in the healthcare sector, hairdressers, wellness centres, physiotherapists and similar activities:

  • In addition to the measures already provided for in the DVR for the prevention of biological risk, the following measures are recommended:
    • use of FFP2 or FFP3 mask;
    • use of disposable latex gloves;
    • sanitization of surfaces between patients.
