A new procedure has been activated for the certification, verification of electrical systems, commissioning, registrations of tanks and pressure systems and consequently a new professional figure was born that can provide advice and carry out the requirements on behalf of the company.
From 27 May 2019, certification and verification services must be requested exclusively using the CIVA application on the INAIL portal.
The National Institute for Accident Insurance provides a new system for the computerized management of certification and verification services, such as:
- Reporting of grounding installations
- Notification of air-shock protection installations
- commissioning and registration of lifting equipment
- Approval of lifting bridges for motor vehicles
- performance on lifting equipment not marked CE
- Commissioning and registration of lifts and construction hoists
- Commissioning and registration of single pressure vessels and assemblies
- approval of the design and verification of the first heating system
- First periodic checks
The services not included in this list will be subject to a second release: they must be requested using the forms available on the INAIL site and then sent via your Certified Mail box.
As published in the Official Circular, INAIL wants to implement what is provided for by the decree of the President of the Council of Ministers of 22 July 2011 on the submission of applications, declarations, data and exchange of information and documents, also for statistical purposes, between enterprises and public administrations only via telematics.

Therefore, a computerized system of management certification and verification services has been implemented, rendered by the Institute to different types of users.
For those who have not already done it is necessary to register in advance on the portal Inail and access using one of the available profiles, to which has been added the new profile “consultant for equipment and plants“.
With the commissioning of CIVA, the payment for certification and verification services must be made through the various channels provided by “pagoPA” (such as credit card, home banking, PayPal…).
But the news does not end there.
We can support you and instruct the practice on the portal for your account: in fact, the INAIL allows companies to delegate the sending of practices to a new professional profile, the Consultant equipment and plants.
From now on, the company representative (or digital services manager) will be able to authorize an expert person (his RSPP, his security consultant or other person with appropriate skills), through the procedures provided for delegation on the INAIL portal, for sending the practices related to the above mentioned certification and verification services.
